Plug & Play UPS/Inverter Models

Be comfortable; be secure when the lights go out! Be able to make that emergency call because you can charge that cell, use the PC, laptop, tablet and internet, watch your favourite Series & Sports chanel, power free standing lamps & sidelights… for these essential appliances we recommend Plug & Play units which have been designed to be mobile & inexpensive. No electrician is needed to install the system. Simply plug the unit into a wall plug and it charges when there is electricity. Plug in the appliances you wish to run when the power goes out. Up to some 1000w can be run off such a system for 4-6 hours.

The inverter sits on top of the unit, with 2 batteries in the battery cabinet which is on castors for mobility. Store it in the garage or leave it permanently plugged into the room it is to be used in.

Hard Wired UPS/Inverter Models

Should you wish to power appliances like fridge, alarms, centre room lights, garage and electric gates then a hard wired system is recommended. You inform an electrician which appliances are to be powered. The unit is permanently wired into the DB and on constant standby.

Comfort Pack? (UPS/Inverter) or Generator?

Against generators is the noise factor; it’s smelly, dangerous as petrol/diesel fumes must be vented away and needs to be outside. It needs maintenance and constant topping up of fuel which can be expensive. Comfort packs are powered by batteries with a design life of 5 years. Run time is typically up to 4-6 hours dependant on watt load. Generators have unlimited run time as long as there is fuel. In summery, comfort packs are easy to use, no noise or smelly fumes.
